Most of my family sessions happen outdoors around Madison, MS and the surrounding areas, like pretty parks, open fields, or spots that feel special to your family. Want something more classic? We can also do studio-style family portraits. I’ll help you pick the perfect location so your photos feel fun and natural.

How long does a family session last?

Family sessions usually last about 30 minutes. That’s the perfect amount of time to capture those must-have smiling-at-the-camera shots plus the candid giggles, snuggles, and all the sweet in-between moments.

What should we wear for family photos?

Keep it simple and comfy. Neutral or soft colors always look amazing, and try to coordinate without being too “matchy.” Skip the super bright neons or busy patterns since they can be distracting. Don’t stress though, I’ll send you my favorite tips and inspo so you’ll feel confident about what to wear for your family pictures.

Can extended family members join the session?

Yes, extended family is always welcome. Grandparents, cousins, and big family groups make for such special portraits. Since these sessions require extra time and planning, an additional fee applies for extended family sessions. Just let me know what you have in mind so we can create a custom experience.

When will we receive our family photos?

You’ll get your edited family gallery delivered digitally within about 2 to 3 weeks. You’ll be able to download, share, and enjoy your photos straight from your gallery.

How far in advance should we book a family session?

The sooner the better, especially in the spring and fall when family photography in Madison, MS books up fast. I recommend reaching out 6 to 8 weeks ahead to snag your ideal date. That way we can plan, prep, and make your session stress-free and fun.
